Has any one try to replce the stock GS4 air filter with TRD or K&N? I am debating if I want to remove the housing to install a Cone? Or replace Air Filter?
Air Filter replace ($35 for KN, $60 for TRD).

For the Cone, I saw the new release KN 57-9011 Fuel Injection Kit without the ECU ~$360. The Swift Reacing's HFI/ECU $795.

I read review (www.super-lexus.com) that without the new ECU that I might hear ping. Is that true? What is Ping anyway... Can someone help me to explain..

hey, i am owner of super-lexus.com and i think it would be best for you get the new intake, it uses the stock MAF like RMM and it works well, i have it on my GS3 and now pinging yet.

it is made by Weapon*R and costs only 200. if you want the SRT product i think thier price has gone down to 600.

there are also other options for ECU since i updated my site, sorry

Apex'i S-AFC and Weapon*R intake makes the most power, and is about 600 all together.

Interesting article for all the newcomers to the forum.. and some of us old ones too.

Read closely the conclusion... It's truly a toss up in horse power gains and looks. Now filtration is another subject.

I have the same K&N also and love it, I could have found it a little cheaper on ebay, but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it at here. K&N 57-9011, or you can try one of the vendors on the forum here, you can usually find a good deal that way as well. This was very easy to install and I love it.
