I drove it a good 12 miles to work this morning and here are my comments on the intake.

At start up and shutdown the car sounds just like stock.

Car seems to feel about the same in the lower rpms, but has more of a FX45 exhaust sound coming from the intake as I putter around in low rpms giving it a little gas.

In the mid range, the car seems to start coming alive with a bit more of the FX45 type sounds coming out of the engine bay.

In the higher rpms, man the intake is a beast. It really lets people around know this isn't an ordinary Lexus. If I were a car psychic I would say the IS350 is now saying "Move it or lose it grandpa/ma"

This clip is pretty impressive:

At 3000rpms, it really changes tone, almost like a VTEC system does when it changes cam profiles. Very nice sound.

Nice write up caymandive!

Thanks for taking the time to photograph and video the entire procedure. I have to say, when you hit the upper revs, the tone is... well, pure music to my ears.

I can't wait until I install mine.

Hey thanks! I just got a dyno appointment for next Thursday. Results will be posted on an overlay of my baseline for an easy comparison.

Wow...and I thought a while ago it was demonstrated that the LMS prototype intake offered NO gain to peak HP at all, and it was their prototype EXHAUSTS that offered 19rwhp gain? What happened to the exhausts?

Congrats to LMS and thanks to caymandive for putting up a great show. 4.5-4.7sec from 0-60mph is just amazing for such a little mod!!

Really looking forward to the release of their exhausts. Hard to imagine an even better acceleration performance gain from the exhausts PLUS intake!!

So is there any definitive answer yet on whether you need to reset the battery or anything every once in a while so that the car "unlearns" or "uncompensates" for the performance modification? Or is that even that big of an issue with this car?

its been demonstrated earlier the intake gives about 12 rwhp

using a stopwatch and watching a video isnt the most accurate way to measure 0-60

Ahh...obviously I missed this thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=195517

So the exhausts will add 22rwhp. Can't wait to see some real-world numbers then.

i would like to see a dyno with both LMS intake/exhausts running, you cant do a run with stock vs intake and stock vs exhaust and just add them together.

I like it your New LMS an intake engine sound! Next time, you're going to mod LMS exhaust, right! IS350 sexy car! Very good video!

Yeah when the exhaust is available I'll do that as my next mod and probably my last mod. I have about 80 miles now on the car with the LMS intake and for some reason I keep finding excuses to go out and drive it. I really love how it sounds and performs thus far.
