Default BPU - Basic Performance Upgrade

Well this is a term coined over in the Supraforums...and MKIV.com. It refers to the basic performance upgrades that you do to your car to get to a certain point. It is kinda like saying "my GS is stage 1" or something... so when someone asks you what you have done to your car...instead of listing everything off you can just say I am "BPU." These mods generally free up the air restrictions in cars and allow the engine to "breath" better.

I propose that BPU for our GS400/430's is:

SRT Intake (or some other brand)

JB Headers

Exhaust (a brand of your choosing)

APU (Advanded performace Upgrade)
BPU plus the following...

Torque Converter

LSD

Supra Rear End

Forced Induction (supercharger or turbo)

Moderators feel free to add to or move this post...as it is just an idea.

Good to know - I always wondered what that stood for. I have everything apart from the SC/Turbo - so what does that make me?

BPU is used in turbo cars, I have never heard of it used in NA cars.

boost controller, downpipe, intake, exhaust, ghetto mods.

Just like it said Basic Power Upgrade, I would still apply it to our NA cars.
