Default Exhaust Question...

I just payed for a Borla exhaust kit for my 98 GS400 only to find out that they have it on at least a 4 week backorder. I called all around the country and noone has it.
I liked the borla because it has a nice quiet idle and running sound but if you get on the gas, itll put out a nice little roar. As well, the tips on the exhaust are only slightly larger than the stock tips with a nice oval shape to them.
Compared to other ehausts that are loud and have HUGE tips, I thought the borla fit me the best.
Now I have to either find one used or buy a different model. Can anyone help me with what other manufacturers make an exhaust with similar charactersistics of the borla?
OR... anyone know where I can get a new or used borla?
Thanks!

Have you considered the magnaflow #14829? Quite a bit of threads on this exhaust in the last 2 months.

Other than idle and take off, try sitting in the car with the exhuast and cruise around a bit.
There is a drone which can become tiresome.

Luckily I have a 98 and in manual mode, I have options to cruise at different rpms.

The magnaflow is just a muffler and it has a huge tip... Im trying to keep my car looking pretty close to stock so the tip wouldnt be what Im looking for.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks Guys!!!

I had the RMM exhaust (rear section mufflers/tips) on my car for over a year and it was great! Quiet, but sounds when you get on it and NO "droning" I found mine for around $650 or so. I recently changed to Carson-Tuned cat back exhaust (includes center resonators) and am very happy with that too. Also quiet when you want it to be, nice sound when you want it!
The only thing with the RMM was that the tips extended a bit farther beyond the bumper than I wanted, had them cut and re-welded and they looked better. Hope this helps....

Try Titan Motorsports for the Borla. I ordered my Blitz from them, which I'm still waiting for, but they wanted to sell me the Borla instead. That was a couple of months ago, they may still have them in stock. Worth a shot.
