Has anyone used Mobils's ATF 3309 in place of Toyota Type T-IV automatic transmission fluid? Mobil says that it is the direct substitute for our Type T-IV requirements.

What a revelation also to know that several European cars use transmissions buit by Aisin-Warner!
Aisin-Warner's parent is Aisin Seiki Co of Japan-- key producer of transmissions and automotive parts for Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, etc.

Might want to try the Amsoil synthetic - also a replacement for T-IV:

I purchased a case of Type T-IV (12 quarts) from Irontoad.com.

Cost me just $3.06 per quart. Shipping for the case plus 12 oil filters + 2 air filters was just $10.
Not bad!
