Default trans cooler question

guys i m kinda strapped for space and need a trans cooler

where have some of you guys mounted yours

i found this
New aluminum 18" transmission cooler. This is finned to add that unique look to any engine compartment. This trans cooler is blue anodized. This is not painted! This anodized product adds a much more quality look than a standard or painted cooler. This new style cooler has the lines coming out of the same end. Makes for easier installation if you are pressed for space and adds additional cooling. Fluid passes through tubes twice, cooling at a better rate than the standard cooler and the radiator style coolers. Includes fittings ($10.00 value alone). These are not found anywhere else on Ebay and can't be found anywhere for under $120.00! This is an outstanding deal on a brand new part.

anyone ever use this or heard of this ??

Mods if you keep this here for 2 days greatly appreciated

Johnny, call SRT and ask them what brand they use......I cant remember off the top of my head, but its not very expensive. Its nice and thin, and they usually mount them right onto the back side of the radiator, you cant even see it when its mounted.

not sure if that one is really effective. from what i understand, it's all about surface area. that thing looks cool, but not that much surface area i think

you can't even fit the bm racing one?

Agree with Rom - surface area is the key.

How about this one? It's what I have and runs about $50.

B&M POLISHED ALUMINUM SUPERCOOLER, 15,000 GVW, 11" x 4-1/2" x 1-1/2". A compact, but highly efficient version of our race cooler. Does not include installation kit. Female 1/2" NPT inlet fittings. Great for limited space or unique mountings.

B&M 70265

I think the 70265 is what I have - 99% sure. It's small but a bit deeper than some other models. Just google transmission coolers - there are a lot of good brands including B&M.

well if you have tq converter, i say you really need to have the tranny cooler. someone blew the tranny before coz' it got too hot with the tc. if you have FI, i think it's a good addition

other than that, i think stock it's ok?

Well. I use big one cooler from Range Rover 4.6 for ATF transmission.
This one is two times more biggest then original Blitz cooler what i have before and really better.
Blitz is not working good when i have speed more 280 km.
