All of us with the 3.76 already have LSD and still not enough traction*. 3.92 will only make that worse.

Rominl can even spin his tall 285/30-20's. I have 19"s and can lay down a 20ft + scratch.

*Also consider most of us have the TC mod, intake and exhaust mods and 275 -285 rear tires too.
i didn't consider the 3.92 plus trd lsd coz' the cost involved in getting it done is just too much. say you get a used 3.92 rear end for 300, then you get the trd lsd for 500, then you pay like 600 at least to put them together and fit it on the car, that's a good 1400 bucks. what a heart attack.

and actually i have 275/30/20 in the back. but that doesn't matter coz' if i wish, i can burn through my WHOLE first gear.

and personally i don't really care much about top end. i don't drive over 120 anyway. if i race and reach 120mph it's time for me to stop, that's how i see it.

oh and i don't have intake, just exhaust

chuck - you really should look into LSD then - I also began to get really irritated with VSC so easily shutting the engine down basically which got worse after I put in the 2800 TC because the car was more responsive. Especially bad on a sharp left/right turn at low speed with a bit of foot into it. With the LSD though, VSC never kicks in, car just GOES

I may just bite the bullet, drive over to RMM in HB and pay full price for a new 3.76 unit. However, I still wish we had more quantifiable results for the 3.92. Like I said I'm rolling on 20X9.5s with a 275 Michelin Pilot tire and I barely light up the back on launch.

hmmm...I was considering the 3.76, but now after U guys saying that the traction sux...I might just the get TRD LSD in my 3.22 gears... I have plans of FI in the future.. but I figured I get the 3.76 and play around with it for a bit and sell when I get my FI...then get the TRD unit...

what a dilemma, lol

Plus... after 135 it just starts to get fun..hehe

if you are going to get FI, i dont' see much point in getting the 3.76. 3.76 doesn't mean traction problem bad, it's just that you have to be careful that's all

besides the 3.76 and 3.92, anyone ever install one of these in their GS4?

throw on some slicks and you'd have a 1/4 mile ripper, but that's about all it'd be good for.

man, i have to agree, put on some slick on the drag and it's going to pull some very impressive numbers for sure. but for daily driving it's going to suck quite a bit. that will push the top speed to about 110? and i guess the rpm at 70mph is going to be quite high
