Lightbulb Swaping out Diff GS300 to a GS400

Hey Guys I was just curious I should be able to swap the GS300 Diff 3.92 in place of my 400 diff 3.26 ......I have one laying around and even though its not an LSD I figured it would make the car a lil bit more fun with the gearing I just not sure if there is a differance between the 2 or if is a direct bolt in .

Thanks...............

I have searched and read a number of threads on this, and it should bolt right on. The traction will be worse than stock without a LSD, but the car will certainly be more responsive and accelerate quicker.

Not sure if this will cause you problems with hitting the rev limiter, but I would ask around before installing it!

Someone told me that the SupraTT rearend will not bolt onto the GS300. It will only work with the GS400/430. So I think this might mean that theGS300 and GS4/430 have different tranny configurations....if thats the case then the GS3 rear probably wont work on your car. Whoever knows more on this subject please correct me if I'm wrong.

If I'm wrong then I'll be happy since that will mean I can use the 3.76LSD rear when I drop boost on the summer

Jeff

The Supra TT will bolt on a GS300. Even L-tuned parts sell the entire pumpkin and so does RMM as a rebadge Supra TT pumpkin.

Jeff not sure of the context., but I think it may be about the torque converter which is a different part on the 300 when you replace it with aftermarket.

I'm talking about the rear end...the whole "pumpkin" unit.
