Default SRT Intake Installed

Update on my SRT intake. After several hours of grinding, sanding and filling in holes I was able to make the intake itself functional - not pretty, but functional. Install was a breeze. I was a bit nervous about chopping into the wiring harness because I needed the car early the next morning, but the process of stripping the wires and soldering the piggy back ECU in went smooth. Car started on the first try and seems to be running very well. Can't really comment on the power but was a bit surprised by the noise. Or should I say lack of noise! No whistling sounds. No big sucking sounds - at least no more than the K&N. Overall I'm happy with the end result.

Heh, I stomped on it on the first time out -- after letting it warm up and making sure everything was running ok, of course. Keeping everything in perspective, my car is pretty loud already - a little intake noise does not add much.

I may not have any whistling noises because I smoothed the interior piping and beveled all the interior interfaces.

Yes, but apparently not loud enough to go head to head with red's exhaust sans resonators.
