Thumbs up Dragon TC installed! (FINALLY!)

All I can say is WOW!!
Bitkahuna (and others) were right-the TC and LSD compliment each other very well to say the least
This car launches so hard -for a 4 door luxury sedan- it blows me away! Now that has finally stopped raining, I need to find a level, uncrowded road to get some times on my Passport GT-2 timer. That thing is amazing...
Updates and in-depth review to follow soon.

CONGRATS! Short of FI you now have the fastest GS available.

Did you put on a tranny cooler?

Thanks Paul! Sure feels like it anyway...
Yeah, I put the B&M Supercooler model 70264 on...they did a great custom install which does NOT use the supplied through the radiator mounts (never been a big fan of that type of mounting).
They made some brackets and using factory holes mounted it down low on the left side kinda below the horn. It is about 1.5" from the radiator rather than pressed right up against it and is very sturdy. Should keep the fluid nice and cool!

LOL-yeah, there's part of me that does-but I avoid about 95% of any opportunities-and I get a LOT here in So. Cal.! I tend to be far more cautious these days- too dangerous and I've got too much to lose to take foolish risks! Have to use some self-control...

JPI-thanks again for the group buy on the TC!

Cool

Haven't had the chance to do any runs yet (hard to find roads with little or no traffic in So. Cal.) but one thing I really like about the TC is that the car feels more responsive to throttle input when the trans. downshifts. The car is almost instantly in the power band and I am using the e-shift less because I don't need to hold the car in a lower gear to have the response I'm looking for.
I was prepared to smack down a G35 coupe this AM (the guy seriously needed a spanking by Lexus! )
but heavy traffic did not permit...oh well, probably for the best.

I agree totally. I don't need e-shift as much as before my drivetrain mods, mainly because downshifts occur so much more easily with the TC, the 3.76 gearing keeps the rpms up a bit also, so they just work well as a pair of mods.

Yes, the TC affects more than just the "launch" from a stop. The eagerness to downshift and the fact that it will be in the "sweet spot" of the power band makes it feel more responsive when accelerating. Of course the lower gearing of the LSD doesn't hurt either. Awesome!

Are there any GS300 Guys on here with the TC Mod? I've only seen you GS400 owners with them but not any GS300 owners with it.

I was just wondering how would this mod feel on the GS300.

I've never heard of anyone changing the TC on the GS300. You can't use the same one as the GS400/430. I believe I read the GS300 already has a pretty high stall speed so there may be little to no benefit to getting a different TC.
