Anyone know how to clean the TRD air filter?? Can I just use water or does it have to be a special solvent and if it is.. where do I get it?

Don't use compressed air as it can damage the material and allow larger particles to get into the system. The best thing to do is lightly bump it on a hard flat surface to remove any bugs/large dirt particles.
Then you can wash it out with water and Simple Green. I sprayed 100% Simple Green on mine and let it sit for bout 10 minutes. Then I used the spray setting on my sink to rinse it out. Did that a few times and then let it air dry. You need to get the oil for it, but use very little. I used a fine mist and sprayed it about 3 or 4 times.

Well, I washed on soap and water.... then I used an air hose sparinggly blow dry it and let it sit in the sun.. It's clean now, but did I screw it up now?? It looks to be fine, but is it?
