Default Quick Question: RMM Exhaust and Intake

I have '03 GS300 and plan to get RMM exhaust system and intake, BUT in RMM website and I-M Store website.. they mention that the intake and exhaust system they have is for '98-'00 GS300.. does it mean that '03 GS cannot use it? I thought GS300 have the same engine compartment from '98-'03 (or maybe some minor changes on ECU).. Help anybody? Can my '03 GS use it? THanks.

Blackened....

Nope....you can't use it....unless you willing to attempt a MAF swap. Why? See my thread....

You can still get the exhaust though. I don't think the piping has changed underneath,

Neo....

Another option (like you) is to buy the PLP intake.

Btw...how is that intake? Do you like the PLP foam filter? Or do you use something else (ie K&N drop-in)? I may be forced to go PLP.

It has been awhile so I can't tell anymore. When I first got it, I did notice a little more pickup on the high end. But then, I also reset the ECU to have it relearn with the new airflow. I don't know what affected it more, the reset or the intake.

I've had it for about 7k miles. I think it is time to clean the filter. I have not used anything else so I can't compare if different filters would make a difference. It is a little louder but not a lot. It is the "Silent Flow" intake after all. Haha.

Anyway, it did not make the car any worse so it is still in there. I think the only way to get real noticeable difference in feel is to either reduce weight (unsprung or otherwise) or FI. Maybe if I did the intake and exhaust at the same time, it ay have made a difference but these incremental changes don't jump out at you.
