Muffler = Axleback? And performancewise?

Muffler = Axleback? And performancewise?

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a muffler (the back end only on the exhaust).. I'm not sure if a muffler is the same thing as axleback? If I change my muffler to, let say, RMM.. will it enhance the sound? And if I change my muffler only (not the catback one or straight pipe), will it reduce/increase the performance of the engine?

yes that's called axle back as well. it will help the sound for sure. powerwise, imho though, it's not going to add much

if ur just adding a muffler, its more for looks. a lot of ppl buy borlas.

You're right, I'm going for look, but what I'm concern is that adding muffler will reduce the engine power.. that's rumors that I heard..
I mean mine is already gs300, and I don't want to reduce anymore power since it's already a bit under-powered

i don't think it's going to reduce power? at least not significantly, maybe a little bit tq?
