Default SRT intake

Anyone have any problems with the installation of the srt intake and ecu on a GS3? Anything I should look out for or be aware of on the installation?

I've had the SRT intake and race ECU for almost 2 years now and have had no problems..

Key things to remember when doing the install...
Disconnect the Neg cable of the battery.
Make sure clamps are tight with no leaks
Make sure hoses are properly attached
Make sure you tap into the correct ECU wire

Once everything is installed, reconnect the Neg wire and start the car. The car will hesitate and almost stall so give it enough gas. Let the car idle for about 5mins to learn the new airflow. Take the car out for a spin and jump on it... The car will have to relearn your new driving habits. Have fun...

thanks for the help. I am going to install that this weekend hopefully so I just didnt want to have any problems since it is a holiday weekend. Can you tell a difference in power with the intake installed?

How did that install go? I have a SRT sitting here and I'm a little daunted by the prospect of cutting wires on my ECU. Can you feel the power?

Guys,

You only cut one wire - no biggie.

Also, I suggest pulling the ECU fuse for about an hour after install. That is how long it took for my car to completely reset.

Make sure you have a decent soldering iron. Don't try and use that cold heat crap or whatever it is called - worst thing I have ever used.
