Question is it dangerous to install srt intake w/out ecu?

the srt intake instruction noticed that installing the srt intake without the srt ecu may damage the engine. is it true? i only bought the intake b/c my friend's gs300 computer was messed up by installing the ecu.

That means they installed it incorrectly. You may run lean which in turn may damage your engine.

Only run the SRT intake when you have the SRT ECU or a piggyback air/fuel to tune it like SAFC
