Default Question about cleaning intake tube

I'm going to put my K&N FIPK intake on this weekend and I was wondering if I should clean the inside of the intake tube first. It came with a lot of dust in it. If so, how should I clean it?

Yes, clean it. Clean with anything mild (water even) as long as you dry it out real good before you install it.

Also cut/smooth out all the extra plastic along the inner seams.
