Default burn smell from transmission

i get this burn smell from my tranny everytime i push the car, i mean "bone" out!
also, i hear this weird noise when you raise the rpm slowly. i mean, you have to have
yr radio off in order to hear this noise. it's like having a bad or worn flywheel on a
standard (5-spd) tranny. does automatics have a "flywheel"? i know we hv a tourque
converter but that's located in the rear of the car...right? correct me if i am wrong.
need yr advice

tks.

I had that same smell from mine awhile ago, I couldnt figure out what the deal was. It went away on its own after being there for a week or so, it hasnt done it since. First thing to do is the obvious..check the tranny fluid.

im not sure if it's the tranny fluid. i alwys change fluid everytime i change engine oil.
even some people recognize the hesitation of the car from standing point. you can tell
and notice the car has little trouble catching up in speed. also, i noticed my gas mileage
got worse! i will hv the car checked.

tks!
