Default RMM Super Charger Dyno results

ALright, after a whole bunch of trial and error, I finally have the GS tuned and running perfect with the RMM SC kit.
Heres what the car put down;

Max power--- 378.02
Max Torque--- 319.75
This is running the 3.12 pulley that is putting out 7lbs. of boost

For those of you wondering what else needed to be done over and beyond the kit itself..here is what I have done.

For starters, I have went down two sizes in pulley to the 3.12 pulley. RMM says it will be 10 to 12lbs of boost...their wrong..its pushing 7 lbs. I needed a different belt, and I needed to put a longer tensioner bolt on it in order to get the new sized belt tightened properly. I ended up changing the injectors to 370's instead of the 310's that came with it. I also added an HKS SSQ blow off valve in the car as well. Last but not least, I put an SRT ecu on it....which they did an absolutely great job tuning. I am now happy with the results of adding the SC...now to get another 1.5 lbs of boost out of it!!

thanks...D, the new ride is looking good my man.

Whats next....theres always a net isnt there. I am in the process of getting another pulley custom machined to try and get that extra 1 to 1.5 pounds of boost. Vortechs next step down will jump me 2lbs....which would put me in unchartered waters. I am comfortable with 8 to 8.5 pouds, so we will see soon if I can get that...safely get that.

I cant race today..its raining. Maybe I will go out in search this weekend!

Fireball, as far as total cost goes...you dont want to use me as an example on that..I made some wrong turns during this transformation. So to learn from my mistakes, heres what you need to do.

Order the kit from RMM (assuming they still have them), but IF you plan on going with more boost (which yiou will) then order the kit with larger injectors. RMM told me that I could pick what size injectors that I wanted. It comes with 310's, I ended up buying 370's after the fact....to be honest, I probably would go with 440's in hind sight, just in case I can reach that 8.5lbs Im looking for. There's $4500 plus shipping right there. You will need to get the smaller pulleys and belt, like $75. You should defintiely get some kind of feul management, anywhere from $250 to $500...depending on what you went with. Then figure in dyno tuning time, this could vary quite a bit..but lets say 3 to 5 hundred. Oh, dont forget the install on the SC...once again, this can vary greatly...lets call that a grand. You should get a boost gauge...gauge plus install, lets say $200 (although you can get inexpensive boost gauges).

This is not exact, but its a good starting point on what you will be looking at, give or take a little on some of it.

Is it worth it......every damn penny!

Great post man, not many people sum up the REAL WORLD costs!! Gives a good gauge of what one might be up against with a project like this.

Now... Where's the dyno graph?!? I'd like to see how much and where the power is being put down.

Glad to see that Mo was able to accomodate you with a custom programmed piggy-back ECU.

Me too! Honestly, I was disapointed in the SC before Mo hooked me up with the proper tuning/ ecu..I could have saved my self alot of time, money, and distress by going that route to begin with. Oh well, live and learn....for all of you that have the RMM SC, if your close enought to go to SRT...do it, they will tune the shiznit out of your car.

Where's the dyno graph?!?
Im still trying to get the damn thing to print out right. Mo e mailed me the dyno graphs, and I have to use the Dyno Jet run veiwer to view them. I finally got that part down, but now I cant get it to print with both the HP and TQ lines on the graph. I can view them that way, but when I print it out it only has the HP on it. Mr. Johnson, I would imagine that you had to use this as well since you delt with SRT...any idea on how to do this correctly. '

I should have a new pulley shortly, Im crossing my fingers for the 8 to 8.5 lbs of boost that Im looking for. With this system its pretty much trial and error...lets just hope the error isnt a jump to 10lbs of boost nthat results in throwing a rod.
