Thumbs up Level 10 Shiftronic now shipping!!

I just got off the phone with one of the guys at Level 10. He said their Shiftronic unit was just built for a GS400 and it's ready for shipping.

http://www.levelten.com/store/import...shiftronic.htm

He told me that this unit bypasses e-shift if you have it.
It also lets you stay in 1st gear!
He said the installation is realy easy. If you've installed the SRT ECU, then you can install the Shiftronic.

Very curious how this will work. Sounds great on paper.
Just might need to break down and order it.

Wait a minute... you can control your torque converter lock up??? Does that mean this will do the same thing as if you bought a 2800 PI or Swift converter??? I doubt it, but if you can, then i take it back...its worth it. But for firmer shifts and to be able to keep ur car in first, not worth 500.

Well, it really depends on what you got going on under the hood on wether or not its really worth it. I know a certain someone on here that is abuot to have it on his car, with his power and tranny shifting issues...it will be well worth it on the track. For the rest of us....who knows, probably not though.

Looking forward to hearing results and analysis on this unit from our anonymous CL "guinee pig". In general, I've heard a lot of good things about Level 10 products.

The one thing I'd like to have on my GS is optional "firm" shifting for drag racing purposes. Some of you may recall that SRT was working on a module to do just that but evidently they have dropped the ball on that one

I have a Level 10 TC in my other car. It has been the only TC to last. They make excellent, albeit pricey products.

I would like to know some results from the guinea myself.
