I'm told my '99 SC400 needs a new hydraulic fan pump. The old one is failing. My car is in the shop for some TLC and the manager (also a Lexus guy) said my pump is on the verge of failing. I kind of figured a '99 car would have e-fans but whatever.
In any case, I've been unable to source one of these. The local pick-a-part yards have the engines pulled, so I've not found anything.
Is this something impossible to find for a 1UZ? Should I convert to e-fans?
16960-62010 is on Ebay but not cheap. Did you try car-part.com ? Wait that part number also shows up as being used on the Camry and ES300 so easy to find for cheap. 1992-1995 Camry and 1992-1996 ES300.

I would think those would be different as the camry and ES are both front wheel drive with transverse engines.
At this moment, I'm seriously considering converting to electric fans. I prefer e-fans anyway.

throw a set from an is300 or gs300 in there. they will bolt right up and its just wiring some relays make sure u grab the coolant temp sensor on the bottom of the donor radiator too
you can bolt a ls400 clutch fan setup on instead, or use that as a conversion for electric minus bolting on the fan so you have the pulley still.
Hydraulic engine fan is cool tech, but personally I am not a fan of having an extra hydraulic pump and fluid so I would first go electric or second use a regular clutch fan.
You might be able to get the is300 electric fan assembly on there, at least with the 300 you can not sure how different the v8 radiator is so will have to do some checking/fitting.
