Default Crank sensor broke in half

Was having a no start issue on my 99 sc400, tried the 12v mod, checked all the fuses, even tried my spare key but still no start. So decided to check the crank sensor and that's when it decides to break on me. What would be the best way to get the other half out? Pulling the crank pulley and covers off and pushing it out from the inside is what I was thinking.

you could try drilling a small hole in it and using a screw extractor.

So I ended up taking the harmonic balancer and cover off to get the broken sensor from the inside. Used two extensions and knocked it out. replaced the crank sensor with a cheap eBay one and started right up.
