Cool 1997es300 p0340 no start cam position sensor already replaced

1997 lexus es300

I got a randomly code p0340 camshaft position sensor bank 1 sensor 1
car stalled would not turn back on.

I replaced the camshaft position sensor. The one in front of the engine. Is there more then one? It is a 1997 model I read it has only one cam sensor ? Could not locate one on other side of engine or around. So is there one or 2 cam position sensors on the 97 es300?

After replacing the camshaft position sensor. The car still does not Start. There is no combustion what so ever not even a sputter.

I reset the computer. I checked the new sensor. Was in resistance range. And got another one just to be sure and still no start.

Could it be the traces in the ECU for the camposition sensor could be fried.?

I checked all fuses involveing ignition and all are good.

Any tips would be great thank you!

In this thread, the OP solved their problem by correcting their timing (belt hopped a tooth).
Maybe start with making sure your timing belt is in check.
