Default Retrofit spoiler LEDs to non-LED 3rd brake wiring

Hi all, I have a 97 SC400 that has a spoiler mounted led 3rd brake light. It has never been hooked up or worked, but now I need it to pass inspection.
The car appears to have originally been equipped with a window mounted 3rd brake light. It has a pigtail and connector in the sub-woofer cover. I have unwrapped the wiring harness that goes through the rear bulkhead, but there is no connector for the spoiler mounted light, nor any wires with the corresponding color pattern (green/white, black/white).
So my questions are:
1) can I plug the spoiler mounted led's in to the same plug as the window mounted lights?
2) do the LEDs run on 12V or do they have reduced voltage running to them?
3) If so, what rating of resistor should I install between the 12V supply and the LED strip so I can plug it in to the brake light connector by the sub-woofer?

Any help is appreciated,
Regards,
M.R.

Unless a previous owner removed it, you should have an unused connector for the spoiler light, tucked up above the right trunk hinge. But, I'm confused... All, SC400's came with the spoiler, right? I think it's only the SC300 where it was an option.

One way you can tell is to look at the bottom/center of the rear window. Spoiler-equipped cars have the black dotted trim stuff straight across, whereas non-spoiler cars drop that portion down so the parcel shelf brake light is unobstructed.

Looks like you are correc t2d2t!
My bad-the cut wires were all the way back past the rear bulkhead in the wiring harness! What possible reason could someone have for cutting it back that far?!?!?!
Man! People do some stupid shyte!
Now I just have to re-splice them and see if it works.
Thanks for your replyt2d2
