Guys, need some help. I just picked up a RMM spoiler that includes the LED brake light. My 2GS does not have a OEM spoiler, therefore, it has the 3rd brake light in the rear window.

My question, when I install the RMM spoiler, I was thinking to cut the brake wire to the 3rd brake light in rear window and connect the RMM LED brake wire from there. I don't want to run the 3rd brake light AND the RMM spoiler brake lights. However, I have a concern if doing this will cause any warning lights to trigger in the car and/or have any negative impacts to either brakes, brake lights, etc. Any help and clarification would be most appreciated guys! Thx!

 

My friend has a Gs400 that he put on the factory spoiler and disconnected the 3rd brake light and he does have a warning on his dash that something is up with the lights. I do agree with you that having a spoiler brake light and a 3rd brake light is a little too much.

 

ReLexin-hey, thank you for your insight. Does anyone know how to avoid the warning light and still disconnect the 3rd brake light while having the spoiler's LED brake light hooked up?
