Default 92 SC400 hesitating when stopped, gas smell

Sup everyone, as the title states I've been having issues with my SC. Recently I took my car to get repainted at a body shop, when I picked it up the car was fine. The next day I went to start the car and it sounded as if it was cammed or something and was letting off a nasty gas smell. The engine bay was very dusty I noticed and first thought to clean the MAF but that didn't do anything. The car only bogs and hesitates when its at a full stop or approaching a stop. When the car is cruising over atleast15 mph I'd say, it drives as smooth as ever. The car doesnt turn off or anything and even stranger the idle seems to be fine, alittle high but nothing out of the ordinary. Does anyone have an idea what it might be? I also cleaned my IACV but no luck as of now...

Check spark as it could be your answer. Worn or bad spark plugs or cables will result in improper burning of fuel and will give you the smell of gas and it wouldnt run correctly

Clean your throttle body!! Remove it and give it good scrub. Take care with your TPS tho, they ain't giving those away. Gas smell, check to ensure that the banjo fitting on the driver side fuel rail in not leaking.

When's the last time the plugs and wires were swapped out? Also have you washed the motor with water at all?
