What size is your intercooler core? I see you didn't have to move the coolant overflow....

It's an HKS Type S, the core is supposed to be pretty efficient, Lar agreed with my decision to go with it...he's made 837 rwhp with one. I purchased a new overflow in anticipation of having to ditch the oe piece Zo, but it just fit above the IC by angling it back a bit towards the radiator.

Rich, it's on you to fly back over for another visit bro, I promise no more blackouts .

We have to wait for the Aeroquip lines/fittings/bulkhead to come, so in the meantime me and gadget are doing some polishing...

Hey Lex,

I am not sure if you mentioned it (I don't feel like going through 18 pages of text) but where do you get your IC plumbing?

Downpipe and midpipe are almost done, i'll have pics when that's completed but here's a couple others in the meantime...

Stock manifold/catalysts, note the difference on the later ones...

Here's the stock exhaust, it should be noted that on the last couple of years the configuration was changed to two pipes running parallel to form the factory midpipe (not visible in this pic). Our intention was to mate up a 3" midpipe to the factory rear section of the exhaust and look stock from behind, unfortunately after we got it up on the lift we realized that despite what others have claimed, the factory rear section is @ssed-out. The I.D. is simply too small and inconsistent in size, there is one spot by the rear control arms where there's a clearance dimple designed in there that's just about big enough to rest a golf ball in, the system appears very restrictive. There is not enough time however to change plans and fab an exhaust now (other customers are getting pissed he's spending so much time on mine), so we'll have to leave that for 'Stage 2' @ which point we'll probably make a 3.5" midpipe into dual 3" with stainless mufflers, but that will be for the future, hopefully it will run halfway decent with the oe rear section...frankly i'd be surprised if it did.

The front all buttoned-up. That's it for now, soon as the exhaust work is done it's on to the fuel system. Let me know what you guys think so far...

Looking good Johnny Ca$h!! (like that nickname better?)

Do you think I'll be able to go for a turkey run in the silver bullet (get a ride Thanksgiving weekend)?

Gazi, it's so much work it's almost not worth it, and there's still a ton more to do to finish the polishing, but I feel the end result will be pretty nice, it was that or powdercoating.

D, that name is definitely better, but......just call me JonJon....that's been my handle for a long time bro. As for a turkey run, I had plans to run @ e-Town that weekend but it looks like the delay with the fuel system will probably put me past that mark, realistically i'm thinking two weeks from today since JBE will be closing for a day or two for the holiday. I'm sure a bunch of ppl will be stopping by to check it out but you are of course always welcome.

Richie, not a terrible thing, but yeah I think it will be very choked up running through the factory rear section, there are several ppl doing it that claim it's not a significant restriction, I disagree. I'll probably have JBE fab something next season, no rush now since the weather is getting rapidly crappy .

Lookin nice Jon. You do need to take care of that exhaust as it will be a significant restriction to both power and spool.
