Default Keep hydro fan or replace with clutch fan from LS400

Hello again campers! As you saw in my previous post regarding my catastrophic valve bender incident, I will be swapping out my damaged engine for one from a wrecking yard. It is out of a 96 LS400. If I remember correctly, the LS has a clutch fan as opposed to the SC's hydro fan.

I am considering dumping the hydro fan in favor of the simpler clutch fan setup.

Any thoughts?

Regards,
M.Rad.

UPDATE: Well, it looks like there is no easy way to swap over the LS based clutch fan into the SC. The stock fan shroud is off-set to the wrong side, the LS fan shroud doesn't fit, the LS fan onterferes with the radiator hose, etc.

I bought an electric fan from the junk yard ($20) and a wiring kit / thermostat from O'Riley ($25). Mounted in stock fan shroud-works well.
