Default Radiator fan bracket, clutch issue

My rad fan pulley is making noise and wobbling.

Im trying to determine if its the fan bracket or the clutch/bearing. When the engine is off i tried to shake the fan, but the shaft does not move or seem to be loose.

any thoughts on this before if change out the bracket.

Here; Some service manual suggests if replacing fan bracket bearing or fan clutch, then replace both.

Be sure and acquire NEW Lexus OEM fan clutch to fan bracket special serrated hub nuts.

When my fan bracket failed, in addition to the weird noise (sounded like fluid, whistling, weird) there were fine metal shavings below the bearing, where the thing had been disintegrating. So if you're looking to make a guess before fully tearing it apart, you can look for similar shavings. At 198k miles now, my original fan clutch still works great.

Also, reading the words you used carefully - the "fan bracket" is basically a cast Aluminum part that has one bearing in it that supports the fan pulley. When the "fan bracket" fails, it is of course this bearing that fails. "of course" because there is nothing else there to fail.

I'd bet you anything that your clutch is fine and it's the bearing that sits inside the fan bracket, as others here have suggested. Im speaking from experience too.
With that said, last year when my bracket/bearing went out at 166k on my '99, I also replaced the clutch since it was still the original and it was right there; I just figured it was worth the extra hundred bucks at the time.

i am having a rotational bearing sounding sound coming from around the fan area, but seeing as i already replaced the fan bracket, i am thinking it is coming from my serpentine tensioner pulley bearing , serpentine idler pulley bearing , or the fan clutch. my car has 275k so i'm pretty sure one of those is prob the culprit (leaning towards tensioner pulley bearing).

i did a full 90k maintenance , but forgot to replace those serpentine bearings
