Default Help turbo matching for goals

Does anyone know of any journal bearing turbos that have potential to power a 2.5-.3.0 Liter car but to not exceed 400HP MAX.

If I turbo soon I only want to have a setup for about 300RWHP for daily driving. So that means a cast IRON manifold is fine for me as well.

I know I can call a company and ask but when I do I want some back ground knowledge.
I see the 62/62 turbos for like $800 but how much is it to rebuild the ball bearing vs journals ? I'm not sure if I would be losing in the long run but I know I do not need more than 400RWHP in my lexus .

Plus its an Automatic and those "only" take like 350RWHP right? Guys spend 3K on GTE swap another 3K on a manual conversion and like 3K on parts but could have bought a supra instead. I plan to just NA-T K.I.S.S. no QSV or tubular exhaust manifold.

At the moment I see my prices going from $600 low side to $900 high side. I just want something that will be low maintenance and slow over something delicate and fast. That way in case something goes completely wrong everything can be replace relatively cheaply

I can't say anything definitively as far as potential compressor surge, but a ~55mm turbo should suit you well for that power level. Something like a precision 5557 or probably a holset 35

I'm new to this platform and haven't even bought an SC yet, but I'm not new to the whole turbo scene and something in that range should work for you

Cheap rebuilds despite ball bearing. Will get you to 400hp MAX at 20psi.
