Default borg warner NA-T throttle body fitment?

Deciding on a turbo and really liking the borg. Problem is I don't want clearance issues with the throttle body. I know.for sure the s366 has clearance issues, but does anyone know how the s300 fairs? Could I get perhaps a tad smaller hotside?

Lmk Im tempted to try a "ebay" turbo but I would much rather have a borg warner.

Thanks

The turbine is too large and will cause a height issue with the stock throttle body. Go FFIM and then run whatever turbo your manifold fits.

I see, well let's put it this way

Does anyone know the biggest ar size I can run while maintaining clearance with the throttle body and still being able to run a 3" pipe of the TB?

This question really depends on the manifold you are going to run, each is different and will make the turbine either sit higher or lower.

I actually switched to a ebay / xspower tubular manifold to lower my mounting point because my previous manifold sat higher. I then had to downsize from a divided t4 1.00 A/R to a open t4 .81 A/R and it fit , barely. This is on a precision turbo.

I'm now planning on the cxracing standard ge manifold with their t70, shows the ar is a. 96 though, in their pics it shows it fits through

Il give them a call and see what's up about it

The original version, like $120-$150 turbo manifold is what I have. It fits but it is super tight and requires a turbo blanket on the turbine 100%.

I believe their newer version positions the turbine farther back towards the firewall side which leaves plenty of room under the throttle body.

I think the newer version is for the is300/gs300 vvti where they have to dodge the ABS box. would probably work on a sc non vvti just probably have to work out downpipe. I think Aswilley just test fitted one in his build thread check it out.

Ok yea after speaking with them the standard mani fits decent with the t70 w/ the .96 hotside, he said there's enough room for a blanket aswell.

I see they have a new manifold with thicker material pushes the turbo down and back a little, but has the wastegate in front of the intake side. Looks well built but I do not like the wastegate placement, I like the standard manifolds.

So looks like Il give it try, well see how long the cxracing turbo lasts.

Here's some pics of fitment
