I see you got your filters to sit much lower. I might trim off half of the barbed end, and half of the rubber part of the filter, to try and get them to sit a hair lower.

BTW, that was my first time drilling/tapping Magnesium. That stuff is super easy to work with!!

Yeah I think its just the filter I got on amazon had a shorter rubber section, but taller might even be better for keeping the oil in.
You can trim the rubber part for sure but as you said you might have to trim the barb also a grinder should make quick work of it.

Yeah the magnesium just kind of chips off effortlessly, its even easier than aluminum somehow.

on another note lately I have been running the drivers side PCV and the passenger side the breather like above, and I haven't had any oil spray still. I think even opening up just one of those fittings on the valvecover to the larger size goes a long way. I'm not going to leave the PCV there but its nice to know it works fine even with just doing it to the passenger side.

Perfect utilization of gravity and common sense
If I did not buy GTE covers already I would have done this. Great stuff Ali!

Thanks, I was looking at a ridiculous horsepower big block chevy supercharged etc... and all it had was breathers on the valvecovers, there was no oil spray on the chrome so had to take a step back and use some common sense that if you dont have spray in the first place you don't have to catch it.

Maybe you overlooked the part where there is no IC piping, haha. Car has been down for about a year now.
