Default auto/manual drive shaft difference?

So im in the process of a 5speed conversion on my sc. I already purchased a driveshaft from driftmotion. But i was told there is a length difference in the front? Is the auto too long or too short? Bc if its too long... its a 2 piece driveshaft, why would no company make a spacer?

Links are dead but the text isn't. First post says that the 5-speed front half of the driveshaft is LONGER because the 5-speed trans itself is SHORTER.

^^ This. Also, the spline input is different on the 5-speed shaft vs the automatic 300 shaft. As I discovered (since I was sold the wrong part) the automatic SC300 front driveshaft actually fits the splines of an R154 5-speed transmission-- but the shaft itself is FAR too short to work with it.

I read the text, i wanted more than longer/shorter, i was hoping pics had measurementa. But now that you mention spline difference my idea is dead lol. Thank you.

your best bet is to put the 5 speed in and diff and measure it and order the size you need
