Default 1999 sc300 comes with LSD stock?

For the 3 yrs of owning the sc300, I always thought none of the sc300s come with LSD. Is that true? I have a 1999 sc300 and decided to test to see if it does have one after 3 yrs. So last week I was testing to see if the back end break loose in the lowest gear L (autotragic) with traction control off and guess what........I was doing donut around a parking lot out in Mexico.

Now I am falling in love with it all over again. But my question though is my diff stock or was it put on by previous owner? My car seem all stock though!

Open diffs have no problem doing doughnuts. It's the one wheel burnout that will get ya.

No, they never came with LSD. Previous owner or open diff are your only options.

You know where can I find this plate? Looked around in the bay don't see anything.

No LSD standard or optional even on 98-00 SC300's. But the previous owner could have installed one from a Supra.

Ok false alarm guys. Just lift up the back end and the wheels spin different direction. Damn thought I have a lsd since I was able to do some decent donuts. My bad if I waste your time =)

Well... A Torsen T-1 from a Supra TT Automatic or NA MKIV Supra will also act like an open differential when unloaded. Mine does. Only a clutch type LSD will be a giveaway with the wheels in the air.

That said, it's very unlikely someone swapped in a rare Supra NA LSD unless you knew the previous owner had done more than a few modifications. A TT Auto LSD in its original pumpkin would have made your car a dog to drive without a turbo.
