^^ I really like what I have read about the 700ft-lb (they called this a minimum rating) T-56 Magnum. It also can be ordered in two versions: longer ratios and shorter ratios.

Basically it's the TR6060 that OEM's use but with a casing and some other features useful for adapting to a variety of different chassis down to the location of the shifter. Multiple shifter placement positions on the Magnum.

I like how this guy Joel Grannas thinks.

This T56 idea is very appealing right now. Any price breakdown in what's needed to make this setup work? Trans and bell housing? Other pieces?

5k is a nice deal but I'm sure this can be done for cheaper with a few creative part searches and alternatives.

Those new T56 trans built by Tick Performance can hold +900rwtq .

You can check details on his website.... Grannas Racing . He has different level of swap kits.

The beauty about this setup is it is a proven setup on a high hp / high torque 2JZ power plant.

Bumping this thread. Still quite haven't seen anybody do a complete write up of the AR5 in an SC/MKIV. Seems like most of the swap and info is there but not a lot of confidence amongst the community to pull the trigger on this trans.

I think one factor is probably the lack of evidence pointing towards how much the AR5 can actually hold. I know there's Panthers Pontius Solstice is cost to 600whp but aside from that, any other info showing it's true potential?

Leaning towards doing this swap over the CD009. Don't plan on going over 600 on a street car.

But if I purchase a w58 pressure plate and flywheel does the AR5 internal slave work correctly? Or are there other modifications needed? (Shimming, etc)
did you ever find this out? i have the same question.
