Tranny Swap Questions?

Tranny Swap Questions?
I know it's been covered, doing the R154 swap, and the W58 swap. Well my thing is I have both an R154 and a W58 and i'm wondering. Which one is the easier swap. I know the R154 is a stronger transmission compared to the W58. Just wondering which to do the swap with R154 is from a MKIII. So which one should I go with.

I'll answer before you get bombarded with "SEARCH BUTTON" replies....
There is a tutorial on here about how to make a r154 work. You have to extend it a little because the shifter is too far forward on the r154 to just plug-n-play. W-58 is virtually cake.
If you treat the trans right and dont beat on it...it will last. I had a friend running 500ish whp on his mk3 supra with w58 and shifted perfectly. You drive dumb you will break it with 300whp....

r154 defn take a lot more work to get in and running. Both are basic swaps its just collecting the parts, finding the time to do the swap, and having the cash for the small parts or when things are missing. I would say go the route that will accomodate your power needs the best. If you do go either route I would make sure the tranny has been refreshed and is in perfect working order.
