I believe there are 2 bolts in the backside....

^^^Yes. You should be able to access it from under the car. Can't remember if there's 2 or just 1 14mm bolt on the side.

got it off the there are two 14s underneath that come out without going under the car with a ratchet

does anyone have a tip on how to remove the hose connection nut?

you guys should answer, the pump is only connected to the hose and there is no where to pin it to get a good grip on the nut

^^^Can't understand your question but, you can reach the nut from the engine bay while the pump is still in its place, return it to how it is mounted if you're having a hard time loosening the bolt. It shouldn't really be too tight because those copper washers get brittle and flat in time.
