Default W58 or r154?

I recently purchased this tranny from some shady dude, he assured me it was a w58, but it doesn't look like any w58 I've seen. Can anyone tell me what it is. It came attached to a 7m.

Its a MK3 w58 as it has the aluminum sandwich plate.
