Default 99 sc300 starter removal

First time jumping into this engine. Im having trouble getting the starter off since it went bad.

My question is, where is the 3rd bolt to remove? I removed the bolt with the cover and wire, and the other long bolt that I could get to from under. Is the other bolt above this one? I think I can see it but have no idea how I would get to it without taking something else off. Do I get it it from under or top? If so what kind of tools do I need?

Thanks,
(yes i searched but couldnt find any 97+ DIYs)

I had to put my car on a lift to get that 2nd top mounting bolt. I had to use a swivel and extensions if I remember correctly.

its nearly top dead center of the trans. if you put your hand up there you should feel it. youll need a few extensions and 1 or 2 swivel/universal joints to get it off. its a pain in the *** and it took me awhile to get mine off.

also:
UNPLUG YOUR BATTERY! i almost welded my ratchet to my dipstick because i forgot to unplug my battery.. >.<
