Lower oil pan.
What up CL , I'm trying to replace my lower oil pan because the previous owner stripped the pan bolt hole. Is there a way to do this without removing the engine from the car ? Perhaps in mounting the crossmember? I have a 92 sc300 5 SPd.
Thanks in advance

i just did this today actually on my 1JZ and it's just about the same...a *****
it's not as easy as it looks. you will need to jack the engine up a bit and drop the front subframe (not all the way but enough to get the oil pan out and in). Other option would be to pull the engine like you mentioned, but that's also time consuming. If you plan to do it yourself, give yourself a day to do it and BE CAREFUL not to drop the entire subframe.

Thanks again, I'm going to definitely need to post pics of why I am doing this.
