Default Of course, trans pan gasket leak..:(

Well, I put in a new transmission filter and 4 quarts of fresh expensive ATF toyota fluid. In my sc400.

To watch it slowly leak out on the ground... At a decent rate. About 2-3 drops a minute. Which makes a very small puddle after 30 minutes. I tried retightening the bolts. But no luck. Seemed like I would stop a leak in one spot, then it would leak in another.

The gasket I used came with a autozone filter. Its rubber based. I used HI tack to install it on pan.

So the real question is, as I figure alot of people ran into this. What do I do??? I was thinking of putting that make a gasket stuff around the outside of the rubber gasket and pan. To slow the leak down if not seal it up all together. But its messy and unprofessional.

But i have no other ideas.

But the good news is, It shifts SOOOOOOOOOOO *gay* good. Its like a new car again. What a difference. No more knocking into gear either .

I also changed the diff fluid to .

Personally I would replace the gasket again. Just make sure both pan and trans surfaces are clean and re-install. I wouldnt do a quick fix on that... Make sure you evenly tighten the bolts on the pan. And make sure you have a new drain plug washer as well.
