Default Catalytic Converters?

92 SC400 has been spitting and sputtering when the gas is pressed. it will idle fine, but will bog down when trying to be driven. Its got the smell of bad cats also. Was wondering if I can delete all the cats or just the rear cat. And if not all of them, has anybody had Magnaflow 91000s installed on theyre SC400. Just trying to get my lexus running right, and dont have enough for a full exhaust system right now or id go all out with a custom system.

Quick feedback will be great. Thanks guys and gals.
