Default Crower 2JZ-GE cams?

Hello group,
I am installing some cam's and I had some really strange results. I sent off the GE head to the machine shop to get a valve job and for them to test the clearances of the cams. I gave them the values of the cams and they tested everything but the valves with the bucket and shim has a huge gap. The intake is suppose to be .006 and exhaust .008 and what is showing is like 1.5-2.0 mm. I called Crower and they said I shouldn't need to change out the bucket or shims. So.... what might be wrong? I measured the valves and they were all to spec. The bucket and shims were the stock ones and they don't very much. The specs of the head are dead on but too big of a gap between the cam and bucket/shim with the valve closed.
What I haven't tried yet is slapping on the stock cams to test if it's the same with the stock cams... before I sent the head to the machine shop I didn't notice the gaps being that much just a test to see what it would look like. I even torqued them down to spec requirement. Any suggestions on what I should do next to narrow down the issue? am I over looking something? Thank you guys.

I don't think crower makes cams for the ge and you got some crower gte cams the intake cam will need to be machine to fit the head, on the exhaust side all the 2jz cams are the same except the ge that has the gear on the exhaust side even tho it the same diameter and same size with the gte.

every cam is different so whenever you replace a cam you will need to shim it and install the correct size shims.
I think its the intake cam that's not sitting correctly on the head.
but I can tell that its not normal for the valve to open while the cam is not making contact with the shims and if you have a gap when the cam is not touching the shim I think its normal .

eddie I will pm you my number and you can call me tomorrow lol.

Well they they are Crower custom regrinds. I'll post up some pics with the values and the nasty gap (once I upload it) (
The cam we were testing was TDC and the it was just the shim/bucket being pushed up by the valve to test for the clearance. I haven't installed the springs and retainers. Thank you for your help and I will look out for the pm.

Here is a pic of where the gap is off. Took the pic with my phone so I hope it's ok.

Over on SF people mentioned to me that the crower regrinds do have a smaller lobe then the OEM causing this issue. I was able to verify this with crower and their e-mail to me:
Stock base circle = 1.420"
After = 1.300"
You must install .120" lash caps or shim the bucket to compensate base circle difference..
