Default 2jzge timing

i need to know how to time a 2jzge

i bought a 2jzge with no timing belt on it, basically i need to know what marks should line up with what


i know about the possibility of bending valves yatta yatta yatta


thanks in advance

and yes i have searched but i would like a step by step guide

cams gear arrows line up to the marks on the black plate and the crank pulley is lined up to the mark on the plastic cover right behind the crank pulley.

2jz Are NON Interference Motors. Unless you have aftermarket cams that are Very Aggressive.

on da crank pulley of da 2jz-ge there r 2 markings for timing, and on da cover behind da crank pulley there are several different numbers. idk which marking and which number on the cover im supposed to line it up at...
is a timing light required to put da car in perfect timing?

The 2 marks on the lower timing belt cover are 10degrees BTDC on the left and 0 on the right. To set timing you will need a timing light, click on the bottom link for Halons build, scroll down to post 102.
