Default Roll cage options?

92 sc300 used for autox and drift (most drift). I was looking into cage options for tandem drifting. My problem is that my wife and I enjoy driving the car around town with our daughter. Cages are great but can cause serious injury when involved an a traffic accident without a helmet. Basically the cage could cause injury during normal traffic use. A weld in cage is not a realistic option for my situation. I have read up on many types and found "AutoPower roll bars" on supraforums. The sc3 is similiar, not really a good comparison to a mk4.

Anybody here have bolt in type cages? Did you make the bolt in door bars?
Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I did search here/google/supramania/supraforums...

just put in a cusco bolt in cage and remove the cross bars when done playing and then bolt back in when you get ready to go play again

FYI if you plan on doing any major competitions a bolt in cage is NOT legal.

my cage is a race bar rear with a u weld front. I still have not installed and an chances are i will just be selling it for a weld in cage.

Bolt in is finr for now, the local events require them for tandem or multiple vehicle drifting. I use the car for DD and a fixed cage would not be ideal or safe without a helmet when running to the store...

Thanks for the pics man! You have sold me on what specific setup I will be using. Yours for sale?

pm'd.
