Default Heater Control Valve

ok i read a bunch of threads pertaining to this but most are about failed heaters and switching hoses . Mines just leaking a slow drip but Id like to fix it. OLT/Killa seemed to fix his with some Liquid Nail stuff.

Anyone else repair their leak? dealership only wants $470 so maybe i should just give that. It looks like its worth about $4.70 actually. How hard is this thing to take off and put back? does the entire piece come off or can you just remove the valve itself?

Couple places online have it for over 100 bucks less but still way too much if i can avoid it.

I have a '98 sc3.

I took mine off and just torqued down the screw as hard as I could. No more leaks. I would maybe recommend some liquid nail or rubber cement right around that screw though, that is if that's where you're leaking from.
