Default How Do I adjust Idle sc400?

Removed and Cleaned Idle Control Valve now my idle is way too high how do I adjust the idle? Is it from the TPS? rotating it? There's two sensors which one would it be?

The IAC could be stuck open slightly. They also lose their ability to spring back closed at times so that could also cause it. TPS should not affect idle either. Not likely. Any codes?

Two sensors? Post photos. That could help

Why did you remove the IACV? Were you having issues prior to the cleaning ... or were you just bored and were looking for something to do?

The IACV is controlled by the main ECU. Are you having any other issues as well or is it just the idle is too high?

I read that you can clean the IACV to stop slight hesitation so I did. No other issues no codes just idle is too high. Iread that this happens when you clean them and that you have to adjust the idle. I know theres a screw on other cars to adjust idle from the throttle body but I can't find it.

There are a couple of things you can try. one is to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for several minutes, that may help. You stated you adjusted the idle, so did you find the idle set screw? Just loosen the nut and slowly turn the screw to adjust idle. BTW, it is mounted on the back, off the throttle body, between it and the firewall. The two actuators control the two different throttle plates. The one farthest from the intake controls your traction control. The one closer to the intake is your throttle.

Good luck!

The TPS on the left controls Traction the other controls EFI.

The part numbers:
EFI 89452-50020 (on the right)
Trac 8942-33010
1994 SC400

I'm currently getting the following:
soon after start-up the side by side check engine and "trac off" lights come on. In addition the "Trac" light also comes on (traction control no longer works at that point) and stays on unless I turn off the engine and restart. When I do that it stays off and traction control works again. The dealer told me that he's reading code 41 and that part number 89452-22090 may be required. I have yet to confirm if this part replaces the EFI or the Traction TPS unit.

Hope this helps

I know I'm responding to an old post but adding the answer will likely help others going forward - as it did me.

if the TRAC plate is closed, it could yes, but i don't know why it would be closed, it's usually just always open. it's held by 2 phillips screws so you can just take it off if you so please.
