Terrible Start-Ups Cold.
Bone stock 92 sc400.
In the morning when I need to go to school, i start the car basically up around the same time (between 7:25-7:40) and if it's cold outside [which it always is around that time] it has a terrible start. It sounds like its struggling to start and sometimes it just acts like it won't start up and then it fires up.
When the car is warm \ I've used it once during the day, it will start up fine. How can I get rid of this problem because I feel like it's ruining my precious baby.
Thanks!

no idea. I bought the car in January.. i dont think there are receipts of any replacements.
I know there is an INTERSTATE [i think] battery in the car.. how do i check if its dying?
i think the starter might be from when it was brand new. not sure though

Does the starter sound like its cranking nomral when cold vs hot?
I used to have this issue... when the car was cold, I would crank but it seemed like lack of fuel being primed so the car would struggled to start. However, if I left the key in the ON position for a few seconds then cranked, it would be fine. Fuel filter fixed this issue.

go to your local parts store and ask them to check your battery and charging system. here in the northwest they do it for free... i anticipated hard starts by adding a ground kit that even connects on the alternator, power cap for the battery only. always starts barely turning the key.

If your battery and alternator check out OK then recommend that you check your IACV next.
Do a search in the forums for IACV dealing with hard starting, stalling and rough idling.
Good luck ...
