tune up might free up some hp, headers, and the air box mod.

don't be ignorant. For the same money spent on boltons to get you Maybe 10 more horsepower, you could have up to 200 more with a nitrous kit.

But you have to keep filing it up. Either way, before doing any major performance modification, a good tune up is in order.

Fogger setups are very safe, and they are dummy proof. There is a chart of what jet sizes you need for the size shot you want, and all you do is drill and tap one hole in your intake tube for the nozzle.... done!
A couple years ago I had a v6 isuzu rodeo that I was going to hop up a little bit, and I put a fogger kit on it insted of bolt ons and sprayed a 150 shot on it for like a year until I sold it. You can't imagine what a rodeo with 350hp feels like! the best part was I got the kit used for 200$

If it was me, I'd get the basics...a overall tune up, you have to make sure everything is good with your car first, be patient young grasshopper...it will come-trust me. A lesson in life, take what you can use to your advantage-the other stuff, throw it out.

there really aren't any cheap, basic mods for the 2JZ. Sure there are headers, intakes, exhausts, pulleys, etc. But in the long run you will want more and all that money that you spent on the basic parts could have been saved up and use it on a turbo kit or an engine swap. Both those mods will open up the ceiling for high horsepower at the twist of a boost ****. As others have stated, get a basic tune up first. while your changing the spark plugs, do a compression and leakdown test if you can. That way you can determine if the engine is worthy of a turbo or if it's better to swap it with a 1JZ or a 2JZ. proceed from there.
