BFI!! Search! Easy DYI costs less $50 bucks. Gains are proven and much better than those injen intakes that can actually take hp away.
Sorry it is just a very common question asked here on the forums.
But remember searching is your friend!

I will test what difference the BFI and other little things did to my car tonite.

But I will say the way you drive will change... with the BFI at least with my VAF.. I can no longer floor it below 4000 rpms or it will.. stagnate at the lower rpms. Creating slower accelaration, me thinks the VAF does not know what to do with the extra air athis low RPM and is retarding the timing since its thinking its running lean.

So far I get better results if I gently squeeze on the throttle not fully depressing till I get to 4000 rpms (no stagnating.). Since IM burdened with an automatic now its mandatory that I shift it myself or itll shift to soon on its own.

After 4000 rpm power hits hard. Considerably harder then before.

I still have mixed feelings about the intake done.

When I first ran the car I was bone stock automatic ok fuel pump was replaced..

My best time was..

16.798 and my best trap speed was.. 85.484 mph.

I ran the car at the same track tonite. With BFI and things listed in my sig... total value of about 330 bucks of mod money.. (maintenance items do not count..)

And all I had to show for it is a

16.658 best time and a new best trap speed of 87.404 mph. Now it was extremely inconsistent times too.

I can no longer floor the car or It will hesitate and sputter I have to roll on it.

When I brake stand... I have to gently squeeze on the throttle so that I can launch at my stall speed other wise it wont even reach my stall speed. Overall Id say I gained quite a bit more top end no doubt but I lost some low end because of the BFI.

Do I recomend this mod? Overall yes, itll give you improve passing speed over 50 mph. Although its a mod id recomend more to the Manual guys or anyone with a safc so they can fix that low end problem.
