Default SC 400 Engine swap

I just bought a 92 sc 400 im looking to swap the engine out this winter, ive been reading the forums about doing the 1jz 2jz and supercharging the v8 conversions. Im mostly interested in doing the 2jz swap but im reading alot of people saying it is to hard and to much money but if done well worth it. I dont want to start a conversion thats going to be near impossible to complete. If i were to do the 2jz conversion where do i start, i have a stock sc 400 whats the first step? Also i want a manual tranny all im seeing for 2jz engines is auto trannys where do i find the best engine setup for the money? I will appreciate any help anybody can give me. Im new to this and will use any help i can get thanks.

Try using the search button when you first log on. Sometimes it works sometimes not. I know there have been a lot of threads on this topic.

This thread might be useful:

Honestly though, you should take the time to do some searching, there's A LOT of information in older posts, reading through them will help you so much. I was able to do my whole swap by reading old posts. Goodluck.

SC400 manual is lots of fun but lots more $$ than a 2jz swap.
